Art and craft galleries and studios around Denmark WA

Some people believe that there is an 'art magnet' hidden somewhere in Denmark, because of the number and quality of artisans and galleries in the area.

There are people working in clay, woodturning, wood carving and sculpting, furniture making, leadlighting, glass fusing, watercolours, oils and acrylics, metalwork, quilting, chainsaw sculpting, bead and jewellery making, textiles, mosaics, photography ... and just about anything else you can think of!

If you are looking for something really special, ask the galleries or artists about commissioning a piece especially for you, because there is something magical about working with an artist or craftsperson to create your very own, unique artwork.

Wondering how to get your piece home? Not a problem: galleries and most artists can pack your artwork to send anywhere in the world, or have it ready for you before you leave Denmark.

DJARILMARI TIMBER PRODUCTS . Inlet Map F5
Djarilmari was established in 1983 by Colin Payne.  Colin has a vast knowledge of Western Australian native species and is committed to efficient supply of quality timber. Western Australian timbers are prized worldwide for their rich colour and exceptional grain. Djarilmari has an established client base that continues to grow with the recognition of the unique qualities of Western Australian timbers. We take pride in collecting timbers in ways that conserve our environment.  Timber is salvaged from farm clearance and road construction.  Timber is also sourced from Government regulated forest areas. Djarilmari buys timber from Forest Products Commission auctions and from licensed collectors. Long term sustainability of the resource is a priority. Once the timber has been bought or collected it is then processed into useable pieces that show the best grain while having the least waste possible.  As we sell to knife makers and pen makers very small pieces can be utilised. Picture is of corrugata burl bowl carved by Jim Syvertsen, one of Djarilmari's USA customers.
